Emerging out of the Swiss Chapter of the ACM in 1983, the Swiss Informatics Society has been representing the interests of IT professionals in Switzerland for the last four decades. SI strives to constantly improve the quality of the Swiss IT landscape. We represent the interests of around 1'500 IT experts from all professional fields of IT.

The Swiss administration is currently hard at work to establish the groundwork for a Swiss E-ID law and practical framework. SI hosts events with various stakeholders in the developmenmt of E-ID and has small working group on the topic.
Data privacy extends into all fields of IT and new technological developments make it hard to keep on top, as data breaches pile up and personal data becomes more and more valuable. In this Spotlight, SI organizes events to dicuss the finder points of data privacy
As IT infrastructures develop and grow, they also become more prone to failure. SI wants to facilitate discussion with events and security exercises and invites all its members to join.
Organizing IT projects can be a challenge and add significant overhead. SI invites speakers to host talks on their fields of expertise in program and project management and create a discussion on the topic.
The Swiss Informatics Society (SI) is committed to the interests and reputation of IT professionals in Switzerland.Through specialized groups (our SIGs such as SIRA, SISR and more), focused projects, high-level events (including the Swiss IT Congress), publications (including Digital Magazine), policy engagement on IT-related educational topics, legislation and national strategies in the context of digitization, we further this cause. SI cooperates with various organisations in Switzerland (such as digitalswitzerland, Swiss ICT and others), Europe (such as the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies CEPIS) and worldwide (such as the International Federation for Information Processing IFIP). We are also closely linked to our sister societies abroad (Germany - GI eV, Austria - OCG).
SI represents IT professionals as well as IT education at several levels (users, technicians and high-level professionals). The majority of IT educators are members of SI, as are a large number of professionals, guaranteeing advice on training, specialization and continued development in the field of IT for our members. SI wants our profession to be recognized at a national level and proactively supports high-quality continuing education. The promotion of continuing education courses is one of SI's missions. Qualifying for the title “IT Expert SI” demonstrates a level of IT competence, quality of training and business competences. This qualification helps to improve the quality of IT and protects jobs in Switzerland.
SI unites IT professionals in all parts of Switzerland, making it a nationwide association. With around 1500 members, it is the largest professional association in Switzerland. In the diversity of all IT associations in Switzerland, it is the association that represents the specialists. SI is particularly committed to high disciplinary professionalism in IT, ethical responsibility and continuing education.
SI promotes the spread of digital skills and computational thinking in Switzerland. Its aim is to ensure broad participation in digitization by all social groups. It is committed to ensuring that Switzerland remains a leading nation in engineering and the use of digital tools, among other through initiatives such as ECDL, SI Professional and IT Expert SI. This way, SI contributes to Switzerland’s attractiveness as a business location, as well as to the quality of life and digital social sustainability in Switzerland.

I laureati in informatica di tutte le età sono invitati a unirsi a noi, per ottenere uno dei titoli Expert FSIE™ e partecipare attivamente alla creazione e alla campagna elettorale dei titoli.
Per i professionisti IT esperti offriamo il test per ottenere il titolo di Esperto/a FSIE™. Le specializzazioni attuali sono Ingegneria, BRIDGE (Analisi aziendale e gestione dei progetti), User Experience, Sicurezza e Qualità. Se non trovate la vostra area di competenza, vi invitiamo ad aiutarvi a creare una specializzazione. Il titolo attesta che avete competenze tecniche e personali di alto livello e aggiornate. Il vostro valore di mercato rimarrà alto. Per gli studenti IT e le nuove assolutezze offriamo servizi di coaching per diventare un Esperto/a FSIE™ certificato.
Le imprese sono spesso alla disperata ricerca di esperti IT. È un compito difficile e dispendioso in termini di tempo assicurare che i requisiti pratici di progetto e operativi siano soddisfatti. FSIE semplifica questo aspetto verificando le competenze informatiche di base, l'esperienza pratica, la formazione avanzata e continua degli specialisti IT. Sono inoltre garantite l'etica professionale e le competenze personali nei confronti di datori di lavoro, clienti e colleghi.

Per il loro attuale personale IT, il FSIE offre uno schema sistematico di sviluppo professionale continuo.
Il FSIE stesso non offre una formazione, ma richiede prove di formazione di base, avanzata e continua da parte degli esperti. La formazione di base è tipicamente un diploma di laurea in informatica. Con la formazione avanzata si diventa uno specialista come con M.Sc. che diventa ingegnere software, con IREB o CBAP che diventa analista aziendale, con PMP o IPMA che diventa project manager. E la formazione continua sono tipicamente giornate di aggiornamento o seminari per esperti già in possesso di una formazione di base e avanzata.
Questo aumenta la richiesta di corsi più lunghi come MAS, DAS, CAS, programmi di certificazione come IPMA, IREB, IIBA, ma anche di seminari di uno o due giorni ed eventi che si concentrano sull'aggiornamento delle conoscenze specialistiche dei nostri titolari dei titoli. Accrediteremo le vostre offerte formative con i punti di formazione continua (CEP) e li annunceremo nelle comunità. Questo permette di raggiungere i potenziali partecipanti senza sprechi.
FSIE è un'associazione senza scopo di lucro che rispetta le esigenze di esperti IT, aziende e fornitori di formazione in Svizzera.
I titoli del FSIE non sono semplici certificati a scelta multipla forniti da organizzazioni commerciali spesso internazionali. L'apprendimento a memoria a breve termine NON è ciò a cui puntiamo. Tuttavia, poiché siamo convinti di fornire uno schema con contenuti di alto livello, richiediamo il riconoscimento internazionale da parte di e-CF/eCompetences.eu e IFIP/ipthree.
